Over the past two years our greeting card line has quickly (and very unexpectedly) become the focus of our business (example: in the last 30 days it has been calculated that we printed more than 35,000 cards). It’s taken a whole lot of investment in time and money, but the recognition for our unique & irreverent line has finally come our way. Here are some blogs that have happened about our greeting line in the last two months and have kept us very busy filling orders:
Yes folks, this May we are stepping up to the plate again at the National Stationery Show to sling handmade greeting cards at thousands of ravenous stationers. Iffin you’re one of them we’re in booth 2469. Come on by for a free PBR!
This January Blue Barnhouse is off to catch midwestern retailers unaware with our spectacular card line at the Dallas Finds Gift Show, followed by a jaunt up north to Toronto for a giftshow of a similar nature (because the Canadians, god blessem, love Blue Barnhouse.) Also in the news, BBH was featured this fall in WNC Magazine, NC Signature (Nov/Dec), and an has upcoming feature in the spring edition of Carolina Homes and Garden.
We have holiday greetings far tastier than your typical hallmark fare, handmade by your friendly neighborhood barnhouse kids. Click on the store link above to see whats on tap this year, or if you want to go all out with personalized letterpressed holiday cards, give us a yodel!
We had a great time at the stationery show–it was great to show off our wares in front of such of a large audience and get such enthusiastic responses. We went a bit overboard with our both and were told by scores of stationers that we had the best looking booth at the show–we also bit the bullet and finished our online store, which you can find using the above link. New designs are made fresh daily so be sure to visit often.
Every year thousands of stationers from around the country and around the globe head to NYC to check out the latest in gifts and greetings, and this May, we plan to be there. Since August of last year we have been creating a line of greeting cards and other letterpressed ephemera and now have over 175 products to show for, and since we have embarked on this new endeavor we have gained representation on the west coast with fantastic results, and we feel we are ready for national exposure.
We are cranking out new designs daily in anticipation of this event, and slowly getting them posted to the the beta version of our store. Please check back on our store periodically, as it is updated on a weekly basis.
We strive to use recycled products and earth friendly approaches to their production whenever it is possible. As a result, we were selected as one of the feature artists in the newly released Green Design (Mark Batty Publisher), which focuses on high quality design using green methods and recycled materials.
The bare bones of our new website is up. We made a big push to make this happen, over the next few months we will be making the site more streamlined. Enjoy!
